  • I accept credit and debit card payments. Payments are processed through a secure platform.

  • Yes, virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy. Research supports its effectiveness, and it offers the added benefit of receiving care from any location in Ontario, offering accessibility and flexibility while maintaining privacy and comfort.

  • All sessions are conducted through a secure and confidential virtual platform, compliant with the current privacy regulations. This ensures that our sessions and your personal health information are protected, just as they would be in an in-person session.

  • The length of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some clients may benefit from short-term work lasting a few months to address specific concerns, while others may choose to stay for a year or longer to work through more deep-rooted issues. We will regularly review your evolving needs and progress to ensure the therapy continues to support your goals.

  • The frequency of sessions can vary depending on your needs and availability. I typically recommend weekly sessions to establish consistency and momentum in the therapy process. As you progress, we may adjust the frequency of sessions based on your needs and comfort. Some clients continue with weekly sessions, while others may move to bi-weekly appointments over time. Together, we will find a schedule that works best for you.

  • I specialize in individual therapy for adults, focusing on personal wellbeing in relationships with oneself and others.

  • I work with adults struggling with issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and relationship issues. I especially focus on helping adults dealing with the impacts of childhood trauma find calm, build trust, and develop fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. You can learn more about my areas of focus here.

  • In my practice, I offer individual therapy with an integrative, relational, and attachment-based lens. My goal is to help you gain a deeper understanding of your struggles and patterns rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction. Many clients reach out to me after trying skill-based therapies but are looking for a more in-depth approach this time. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, and somatic approaches, to support your unique healing journey. You can learn more about the therapy approaches I use here.

  • Many insurance plans in Ontario cover sessions with a Registered Psychotherapist. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm coverage for registered psychotherapists under your plan. While I do not offer direct billing, I will provide you with a receipt for each session that you can submit for reimbursement.

  • In your first session, I will try to get to know you to gain a deeper understanding of your needs and goals. We’ll discuss your history, current concerns, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. The intake process can span over a couple of sessions, after which we will create a personalized treatment plan and decide on our roadmap together.

  • To ensure effective virtual therapy sessions:

    • Have a stable internet connection.

    • Choose a private, quiet space where you can speak freely, where no one else can hear you.

    • Use a device with a camera and microphone. Headphones with a microphone are recommended for sound quality.

  • We start with a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs, answer any questions, and determine if we’re a good match for working together. You can schedule this by contacting me via email or through my booking site. If we decide that we might be a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session and begin your therapy journey.
